New Pentecost Ministries Mission to the Holy Land

As the sun set over the old city on the last day, our 30 member team began its last time of intercession for the Holy Land just before leaving the Holy Land. We were on the Mount of Olives where Jesus' wept over the city as we celebrated the Eucharist and went into profound prayer for the people of the land -- Jewish, Christian and Muslim -- that God loves.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
May those who love you prosper!
May peace be within your walls,
prosperity in your buildings.
Becasue of my relatives and friends
I will say, "Peace be within you!"
Because of the house of the Lord, our God,
I will pray for your good. (Ps 122:6-9)

What happened on NPCM's Intercessory Mission to the Holy Land?

Here are the reflections of some of our Mission Members

SIGNIFICANT WORDS RECEIVED BY NPCM MISSION MEMBERS FOR ISRAEL, PALESTINE AND NPCM

Peter Sanders I received this word during the prayer over the city of Jerusalem at Dominus Flevit:
I am opening a breach of mercy in the people of my heart. The bowls [of incense - the prayers of the holy ones] are full for this season (Rev 5:8). The prayers have moved my heart. The old is over, I announce it to the prophets; I will not leave my people abandoned at the hands of evil men. Jerusalem, a city divided, yet one in my heart, the North cannot overcome you; your enemies will be defeated in order for my friends to live in peace. Here in this place the lion will lay down with the lamb. As I am the Lyon and yet a Lamb, they will live in one Body. I turned this into a declarative prayer over the city and over the land.

Therese Catalano I received these words when praying over the Kidron Valley: Genesis 12:2-3 “I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. All the communities of the earth shall find blessing in you.”
I proclaimed this over the gravesites and in the name of Jesus, broke the curse of death, especially of the horrific death of the holocaust…and proclaimed life over the Hebrew people of the past, present, and future generations. That they would start living in the present (and broke off anger, grief, retribution, victimization, etc.) and that would step into the fullness of their calling as being a blessing for all and seeking peace for all. I proclaimed, “choose life” over the valley and the Old City to displace a false “life” of death.

I sensed that now the lamentation of the voice of the Palestinians. I received this when we were waiting to exit Bethlehem and we could see the listless spirit of the people depicted by the art on the wall. I continue to pray for healing for them and the Jewish people and pray the opposite of what their lamentations are, such as proclaiming grace instead of disgrace.

Gary Archer The Lord invites us to saddle up with him and ride into battle with him and the armies of Heaven. His repeated confirmation during the mission, actual white horses in different parts of Israel and the reading from Revelation 19 and the icons of St. George remain with me.

Susan Archer Unity, trust, focus, setting our faces like flint, not being swayed from God’s purpose in our lives and during the mission.

Maureen Alvarez (Nicaragua) I thank our Lord for all the blessing He has given all of us to be in this mission. I received “Jerusalem, Jerusalem you will dance again”. On our way to Mount Tabor I heard, “don’t take things for granted”, which constantly comes to my mind as I reflect on what the Lord wants to do through NPCM and what we members are called to do for the fulfillment of His plans.

For peace in Holy Land, “a new leader will burst out from Jewish people” for our mission “relations which have been established should be reinforced”

Nelly
Khayat When we were in Bethlehem we visited the Church of Nativity. As we waited to enter the grotto to touch the Silver Star, which marks the spot where Jesus was born. Therese shared a vision that we (NPCM) would be reborn as we encountered this experience. I received these words the previous evening, (which I feel were for the whole group) “I am born in you as you are born in me…”
We were redeemed, reunited, and reborn through the redemptive work of Jesus the Christ, the new Adam.
“I am born in you as you are born in me…”
Romans 6:4
4: “We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.”

Analuisa Gonzalez At Bethlehem University the words declared were that the present generation would find a way beyond boarders to communicate through technology for a better future. The scripture confirming was
”The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.” Isaiah 11:6

Sharon Gilbert One night in Bethlehem, the Lord led me saying begin to prophesy against the wall and I did. He said, “the wall represents division, spoilage, hatred, stubbornness, greed, envy, hatred, and wars. My covenant is of peace everlasting.” I will say to these walls ‘be gone.’ I will say to these walls ‘they shall not be resurrected’; I say these walls ‘be as rubble for I have come into the city, my city, my Jerusalem to pronounce my will, my everlasting covenant with the nations.’ I will come into the city not riding on a donkey but in glory. My brothers shall live in peace. In its place I shall resurrect two altars, one for Elijah, for the prophets of old and one for the new covenant. The two are as one. All will know me. I have spoken. I have ordained it. It shall come to pass. I will look over my word to perform it for my covenant is everlasting and shall not be broken.

HOW DO YOU FEEL THAT GOD WORKED THROUGH THIS MISSION?

Gary Archer
I sensed the Lord confirming that NPCM is a vessel of His with no personal agendas only HIS holy agenda! All Glory to you, Jesus!

Susan Archer I sensed that we did what God desired for us; miraculously it was done in spite of our human frailties. We died to ourselves and God reigned!

Jennifer Simpson By giving us visions, prophetic words, and healings!!! I confirm Father Peter’s words about Mercy. When praying over Jerusalem, The Lord showed me a river of His blood flowing all over the city. He showed me that this represented His Divine Mercy: Blood and Water that flowed from His side for the salvation of souls.
Also, when praying and walking along a wall in Jericho, I was wondering if any of our prayers were really helping, if the Lord was pleased with our Mission. I was instructed by the Lord to pray at either end of this wall, and in the middle. After asking these questions in my heart, I stopped in the middle of the wall, and there I noticed a Smiley Face etched into the stone of the wall Praise God!!! All Glory and Honor our yours Almighty Father, Forever and ever Amen!

Paolo Gozzi In the moment of our entrance in Jerusalem, I sensed a spiritual wall under our feet, I sensed also the flowing of a big underground wave, a Jesus blood-wave; then I saw the spiritual wall collapsed and from that moment, life and healing and deliverance come into Jerusalem and into all the Holy Land.

Maureen Alvarez I felt He was guiding and stretching us even if at times some might had felt a bit dispersed. But the wisdom he poured unto the 8-group brought us back into alignment and we continue our learning and sharing. Thanks God.

Therese Catalano God opened a kairos for us to persist in our intercession so walls of injustice could come down. I confirm all that has been spoken above. The ruins that we saw of the wall of Jericho was a precursor of what is to come with the annexation wall.

Sister Cecilia Salazar F.I.C. (Peru)  Yes, God did many things through us. It was a special mission from the Heart of God in this time and in his infinite mercy. I was able to feel it and see it in every moment of the Mission. In spite of our weaknesses, He was not outdone in his generosity in this Mission.

WHAT DID THE LORD DO IN YOU?

Gary Archer The Lord confirmed my desire to be a part of the Healing ministry, even giving me a new, deeper prayer language. Thank you Lord!

Susan Archer Freedom, to know the lack of it, freedom, I was born into it, freedom, in the character of Jesus is what I feel God is doing in me.

Jennifer Simpson At the Church of the Transfiguration, I had a true ” emptying” of my Heart. Jim and Therese talk of strongholds, and our own agendas. It was here that the Lord freed me from my own emotions, hurts and pains, and human ways of thinking. This prepared me to accept Jesus’ anointing, and have a deeper knowledge and trust in Him.

Paolo Gozzi (Italy) Watching you all, I have discovered a new meaning of humility and a new way of thinking about our life in ministry. A big holy embrace to every one of you! Glory to God!

Maureen Alvarez (Nicaragua) In this mission, He made me feel loved and through the words given to you He helped me to place my storms on the altar and embraced me with His double portion of anointing causing the biggest impact, knowing that this is for the rest of my life.

Jim Grewer I have had difficulty in crafting my intercessory prayer for the Holy Lands. I would try to pray for an outcome based on my perception of what the Lord should do, rather than praying for the Holy Spirit to move and guide through prayer based on the power of His love for all. I have seen that biases create strongholds that do not open portals, to allow changing of hearts. In reflecting on our mission, I think the Lord did a work in all of us, giving us new eyes and hearts for our prayer life, and renewed vision for our personal ministries. It was a true joy to be with all of you, and I will cherish my mission.

Therese Catalano The Lord broke down strongholds I had developed against Muslims after September 11, 2001. By listening to their stories and those of their Christian friends, I discovered how the Palestinians are suffering a “Palocaust”– almost unnoticeable by the western world. By their inspired example of hope, I saw that the walls may block their basic freedoms but cannot strip away their God given dignity.
